I have included every anime that I find best in the sports section it whether it is anime o car racing or baseball basketball.

Haikyuu Summary
Haikyuu is an anime based on a volleyball theme. And revolves around a boy named Shouyou Hinata. Get’s inspired by a volleyball ace nicknamed “Little Gaint”. After that, he started walking on his step and started playing volleyball. He then revives his middle school’s volleyball team. And even they were new they manages to get in the tournament, but things didn’t turn out well for them and their first match became their last match. They were brutally defeated by the King of the Court “ Tobio Kageyama”. Then Hinata vows to surpass him someday.
After that event, Hinata joins Karasuno High School and joins the volleyball club as soon as he enters the school. But he finds out that his rival is joining the same club.
Now they are in the same team struggling with their own problem. Hinata can’t find his role even with superior jumping ability than others and on the other hand, Kageyama is struggling with his problem. But with coincidence, they both can solve each other problems.
This is where the story of Haikyuu begins. And journey of Hinata and Kageya in Karasuno. Will they make name for themself and their school? Will they win the tournament? If you have not watched the anime then you must watch it,

Is Haikyuu worth watching?
Definitely, it is with watching it is one of the top-rated sports Anime that has ever been made. The storyline, animation, character development, Action, and Entertainment anime provide everything that a person could ask for.
So, in my opinion, it is with watching.
Finally, what do I think of Haikyuu?
Well, I really like the anime whether it be its storyline or its animation. But the only problem that I find in the anime is the speed by which it is moving forward. It is so frustrating waiting every week and watching one episode and then they just complete one match with a team in that season. The speed is so slow sometimes it feels like I should just close the anime.
But surprisingly I didn’t and the anime kept entertaining even though the speed is slow. If you start watching the anime it will make you watch the anime till the end. So you must check out the anime.
So, now without any further due let’s jump to the list.
Kuroko no Basket
Kuroko’s Basketball follows a boy named Kuroko who is from the generation which produced 5 players known as “The Miracle Generation” but surprisingly Kuruko is the sixth member of the generation but no-one knows about him.
Now the story shifts to a player calledTaiga Kagami who is an up-and-coming power player.
Who just came back from America. After he joins the serin high school he meets Kuruko who is just another ordinary-looking boy. Nut to his surprise he finds out that Kuroko doesn’t know how to play basketball. But he has a unique ability that even though he is there nobody sees him. It is just impossible to track him sometimes So what makes him the sixth member of the generation. He soon finds out everything. Kuroko’s ball passing ability is just on another level or you can say never seen before plus he can’t be felt around so it is nearly impossible to track the ball if you don’t have your eye on him.
Soon both becomes friend and Kuroko makes a pact with Kageyama that they both will defeat the generation of Miracle.

Diamond no Ace
If you are into baseball then you will definitely love this anime because you will relate to the anime most as the main theme of the anime is baseball.
The story of Diamond no Ace follows Eijun Sawamura who is a pitcher who joins a school of the elite who has a brilliant catcher named Kazuya Miyuki. Together they both with their team aims for the Koushien championship will they achieve the championship or not through hard work? What is the difficulty they will face and how will they overcome them check out the anime to find out?
2.43: Seiin Koukou Danshi Volley-bu
The story follows a High School Student Kimichika Haijima who has shifted back to his hometown, Fukui, as he has caused trouble in the Tokyo Junior High School. After coming back to his hometown he reunites with his childhood friend, Yunii Kuroba, who has the outstanding physical ability, but he has a flaw that he is vulnerable under pressure.
Now they both unite. Haijima, with his overwhelming passion and talent for volleyball, forms an ace combination with his friend Kuroba,
And soon they both join Seiin High School and enroll themself in the volleyball club. Where team captain Shinichirou Oda, Vice-Captain Misao Aoki, and other members of the team. So will they get along and can they become rising stars? And what challenges they will face in the future how will they deal with their opponent? Check out this new generation of volleyball anime.
This anime is one that is closer to Haikyuu firstly because of its theme and secondly of its storyline.
Bakuten
Here comes an anime that is related to gymnastics. The story of this anime follows Shotaro Futaba a high Schoolboy who is fascinated with men’s rhythmic gymnastics and enrolls himself in Ao High School. Where he joined the school team. The team in this story follows a team of unique seniors and one a boy named Ryoya Misato, who is a classmate of Shotaro who is a famous High school rhythmic gymnastics tournaments, and they both runs toward the same goal. Chihayafuru
The anime follows Chihaya who is a lighthearted tomboy, who is not a bright kid and is not good at anything. She has only one dream that was always been for her sister (an aspiring model) to become the number one beauty of Japan or even of the world.
Nut one certain day some tell her that dreams are those which are concerned to oneself and for which one works hard. As at the same time she discovers her passion for old Japanese games which is based on Hyakunin Isshu called “Karuta”

Run With The Wind
The anime is based on Relay Race. And the anime is centered on the Tokyo-Hakone Round-Trip College Ekiden Race or “Hakone Ekiden,” one of the biggest University Marathon relay races in Japan.
The Race is held every year from Jan 2- Jan 3 and the course is set between Tokyo and Hakone and back to Tokyo. With a total distance of 217.9 Km.
A High School boy Kakeru Kurahara he abandons competitive running and has no desire on returning. But Haiji Kiyose is determined to run this race and convinces Kakeru to run and join the competition once again. To achieve his Haiji with Kakeru and eight other starts preparing for the race.

SK8 the Infinity
The anime centers around a boy named Reki, who is in High School with that he has a passion for skating and is a skater, he is addicted to “S”, which is a highly secret and dangerous downhill skateboarding race that takes place in mine that is abandoned.
The skaters are crazy for the beef or the heard battel that occurs during the race. Reki meets a transfer student Langa who has just shifted to Japan. Reki takes Langa to the secret place and even though Langa has no experience of skating he just get pulled towards skating.

Slam Dunk
Yet another anime with basketball as its theme. Even though this anime doesn’t have good animation because it was released in the late 19s and early 20s. But this anime is worth watching action scenes are amazing, it gives its viewers proper hype and most importantly it has comedy and because of this people love to watch this anime to date. It is just a piece of art if you have watched Gintama then I would say it has the same level of comedy in it.
Now let’s talk about the story of the anime. The story follows Hanamichi Sakuragi, who holds the record of most rejection from girls during middle school, he is in Shohoku high school and is a freshman there.
Because of his height which is almost 2 meters and his red hair people consider him as a delinquent.
And one certain day he is approached by a cute girl Haruko Akagi and asks Hanamichi that “Do he play Basketball” seeing her talk to him he falls for her and even though he didn’t know how to play basketball says I do play basketball. And from there on his journey of becoming a basketball superstar begins.

Here is another anime based on basketball. The anime Ahiru no Sora follows a boy Kurumatani Sora he is short, weak, and had just transferred to a new school but he still loves to play basketball.
He has been shooting the ball to ring since he was a child and tries hard to grow as tall as his mother whom he admires and wants to become a basketball player just like her. What happened to her and what will Sora do in this new school you guys have to find it yourself by checking out the anime.
All Out

The story goes like this Gion Kenji is short and he is just angry and pissed off about that fact. And on the other hand, is Iwashimizu Sumiaki who is tall but timid. And because of both being bullied by other the unlike player pairs together on their first day of school. But it is the game of rugby that will make this pair friends. Hajime No Ippo
Another amazing anime and sport that it is based on is Boxing. And the story follows a young boy named Makunouchi Ippo who is bullied his entire life. He was constantly chased and beaten by his classmate. He had the dream to change his life but never that the passion or courage to change it.
One day when he was being bullied he was saved by Takamura Mamoru who was a boxer by profession. He was fainted due to the injury he received while he was being bullied. And when he regained his consciousness he finds himself in Kamogawa boxing gym.
He was amazed by his surroundings and was aww stuck from what he was seeing but he did not have any courage to act or do anything in the gym.
Then forces him to punch the bag on which image of the bully was pasted. That is when Ippo felt something inside him eventually asked Takamura to train him.
But it was not that easy to get trained and Takamura gives him a nearly impossible task which he has to complete in 1 week.

The next anime on the list of Anime Similar to Haikyuu is based on the sport of tennis. The anime follows a young boy Echizen Ryoma who is a prodigy of this series and has won 4 consecutive tennis championships but lives in the shadow of his father, who is a former pro tennis player.
And layer on the story he joins the Seishun Gakuen junior high school, which is said to be one of the best schools of tennis, and now he learns his way of tennis and enjoys the game with his friends and he has a goal to defeat his father and his former self these are the biggest obstacle he considers. Ballroom e Youkoso
The story of an ordinary boy who just wasted his middle school and had no aim for his life. This is the story of a Fujita boy who has no aim, has no friend, or whatsoever he has nothing that could grab his attention.
But his life changed one day when he was attacked by some gang out of nowhere and was saved by a mysterious man. To his surprise, the person was not a Martial Artist instead he was a dance instructor! This is where he started to take some classes and finds his passion.

This is the story of a Yuri Katsuki who carries the hope of Japan on his shoulder to win the championship of the Gran Prix Finale of Ice Skating competition but meets a crushing defeat.
After this, his morale goes down and he decides that he will retire but with that, he also feels like he wants to continue skating. With these feelings inside him, he goes to his parent’s house.
But things take a turn when 5-time consecutive champion Victor appears before him. And they start to get along(I would like to add that they start getting along the way too much). Now they both decide to take up the challenge on the unprecedented Grand Prix series.
The animation of the Anime is quite good and the storyline is also good you should check out the anime once.

Though the animation of the anime is not so good. Still, the anime is worth watching.
The story of the anime follows a High school student Takumi Fujiwara who works as an attendant at the gas station during day time and a delivery boy at night. But little does he know that his driving skill and his father modified Toyota Sprinter AE86 Trueno will make him the best amateur road racer on Mt. Akina’s Highway.
And because of this fact racing group from all over the Gunma prefecture challenges Takumi and wants to confirm that does he really has it what it takes to be a road legend.
Inazuma Eleven
You must have seen this anime when you were a kid. If not then I would recommend that you must watch it. Its few seasons are worth watching but after that, they made a whole mess out of the anime. The theme of the anime if based n the sports of football. And the overall story and animation are quite good.
The protagonist of the anime is Endou Mamoru, who is a very talented goalkeeper and is the grandson of the legendary goalkeeper of Japan, who died before he was born.
Even though he has what it takes to be a good goalkeeper nut his school doesn’t have a football club. So he set out to make one and make this team a no.1 team. Will he succeed what are the challenges that he will face?

His playstyle is way different than others his playstyle is cleanliness he just does everything clean. He doesn’t tackle he doesn’t make heads. If he is throwing the ball he will do it as if he is wearing gloves,

The story of this anime centers around two boys who were never meant to meet each other: Tsukushi Tsukamoto and Jin Kazama one has nothing special but a heart and passion for the game other is an isolated soccer genius. And one day when the weather was bad and stormy these two meet and this meeting created havoc in the world of high school soccer.

The story of this anime follows Haikaru who is a 12-year-old average 6th grader. One day while going through his grandfather’s item he finds an old Gp board. Upon touching this Go Board, Hikaru is possessed by a spirit and starts hunting him. The spirit Sai was once a great Go player, and has committed suicide but stayed in this world so that he can play Go board once again.
