3. Kyoto Animation

Kyoto Animation Co., Ltd is a Japanese animation studio and light novel publisher which is located in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture.

Though it was founded in 2000 and its first animation project was launched in the year 2002. Ufotable didn’t get a breakthrough till 2007. And after the release of The Garden of Sinners, its course fully changed. It started producing amazing anime thereafter. Ufotable is famously known for its Fate Series.

It has also provided us with anime like God Eater and Tales of Zestiria the X. And finally with the success of Demon Slayer it was totally on another level.

In March 2019 it was reported that a raid has been carried out on Ufotable on the charges of Tax Evasion. And it was reported that Ufotable owed 400 million yen in taxes.

Further, the studio’s founder and president, Hikaru Kondo, were charged with violating various Corporation Tax Law and the Consumption Tax Law. The studio failed to pay 139 million yen (approximately 1.28 million US dollars) in taxes. Thereafter company released a public statement apologizing for its actions.

Production I.G was founded on December 15, 1987, by Mitsuhisa Ishikawa and is located in Musashino, Tokyo, Japan. The letter I and G in the studio name depict the name of the founder of the company – producer Mitsuhisa Ishikawa and character designer Takayuki Goto.

Their goal was to not prioritize the vision of any particular director but instead envisioned a group effort driven by the leadership of multiple producers.

And today this studio is one of the biggest and most renowned studios out there. You can just imagine how big this studio might be when it has 10 separate studios and each of the studios works on different projects and ideas. This studio is responsible for hundreds of anime out there and that to be in all countless different genres.

WIT STUDIO, Inc. was founded on June 1, 2012, and is a subsidiary of Production I.G. Wit was founded by Producers of Production I.G the goal was to become a subsidiary of IG Port.

Studio Bones is famously for its character designs. And among them, Angelic Layer, Scrapped Princess, and Darker than Black are the ones that were provided by Hiroshi Osaka. Bones one of the early work were a collaboration with studio sunrise on the project Cowboy Bebop: Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door. This was a feature film based on the anime Cowboy Bebop.
