2-Minute Teaser for Final Evangelion Film was Streamed by Amazon Prime | Animeology

On Saturday, Amazon Prime Video began streaming a two-minute and 16-second long teaser on its official Twitter Account for Evangelion: Thrice Upon A Time or you can call it (Shin Evangelion Gekijō-ban).

In Japan “Last Run” of Evangelion: 3.0+1.01 is the new version of Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time, which began on 12 June. The New Version doesn’t contain much change in the story, but it does have few “minor revisions” of animation scenes. Almost all, theaters in Japan stopped screening the film by July 21 though few remain. And for the rest of the world, Amazon Prime will be streaming this film on 13 Aug 2021 as well as in Japan.

The movie will be dubbed in a total of 10 languages that include- English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. And as for streaming with subtitles, it will be available in a total of 28 languages.

The film “Final Evangelion” opened in Japan on 8 March and was ranked #1 for its first weekend. It sold almost 2,194,533 tickets and accumulated 3,338,422,400 yen which is about US$30.6 million. It was shown in a total of 466 theaters in Japan. On IMAX theaters the film has earned up to US$3.4 million during its first week. Which is the second-highest opening for IMAX screening in Japan, only behind Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train) which was released lasted year. It was also played in 82 4D-equipped theaters.

This Film is now on #35 on the all-time ranking of the Japanese box office and has sold over 6.69 million tickets for 10.22 billion yen which is about US$92.7 million by July 21.
